Lamar was born December 14th 1961
Lamar is a cross between a serial killer and a court jester. An erratic street legend whose unbelievable stories of conquest were part of hood lore. Lamar returned to Southwest Detroit to reclaim his territory and his lady. But with Meech occupying both, war ensued between the two of them, resulting in Meech nearly killing Lamar; the shooting left him in a coma, which he woke up from and escaped the hospital.
Biography[]
Released from jail[]
Fresh from out of jail, Lamar arrives at Big Coney Island Restaurant in search of Duka, who he learns was relocated. When the manager urges him to move aside, Lamar slams his head into the counter and instructs him to spread the word that "Lamar Silas is back in town." Lamar then makes his way over to Monique's, only to discover that she's now with Meech, who Lamar bumper checks and warns to stay away. Following his confrontation with Meech, he's approached by 12th Street, though Lamar declines their offer.[1]
Taking over 12th Street[]
Having reconsidered their offer, Lamar approaches Jay Mo in hopes of joining his crew. He is partnered with Slick to run pick-ups, however, unbeknownst to the rest of the crew, Lamar and Slick are old friends. As Slick suspects, Lamar intends to take over 12th Street, but he needs an army first. In the meantime, he tells Slick that he heard Jay Mo put the hit out on Terry and to spread the word to the crew. Lamar is confronted later in the day by Monique after she learns that he stopped by Zoe's school. Monique wants nothing to do with him and warns Lamar to stay away from her and Zoe. However, Monique considers giving him a second chance after he apologizes. Afterward, he attacks Filmel in an alley, bashing his head in with an empty paint can before lifting him into the dumpster.[2]
With Jay Mo missing and Filmel in the hospital, Lamar seizes his opportunity to take over the 12th Street Boys. After spending some time with Zoe, Lamar visits Filmel in the hospital and threatens to kill him unless he promises to leave town as soon as he's released. Lamar and 12th Street then head to the bowling alley, where the 50 Boyz just so happen to be throwing Terry a party. Lamar follows Kato into the restroom, as she has reluctantly been working as a double agent inside the crew and reveals to Lamar where they keep their weight. Later that night, Lamar has another run-in with Meech, but this time, he's inside Monique's house.[3]
While shopping at footlocker to bring some sort of organization and "uniformality" to the crew, Lamar briefly runs into Terry, though the interaction doesn't escalate beyond words. With the information provided by Kato, Lamar proceeds to ransack the 50 Boyz' stash house, however, when Kato and Hoop arrive unexpectedly, gunfire breaks out, forcing Lamar to flee. He holds up at Kato's until she arrives, at which point, he threatens to kill her if she ever pulls a gun on him again. The only reason he doesn't now is that he used to run with her father. With Kato in line, Lamar heads over to Monique's where after reading Zoe a bedtime story, he and Monique have sex on the couch.[4]
Zoe's abduction[]
As planned, Lamar waits for Zoe outside of her school, but she never comes out. Just when he begins to panic, he learns she was taken by Meech and that he'll return her unharmed in exchange for the stash he stole from them. Lamar rallies 12th Street and instructs them to find out where Meech and Terry live, but when Tiny expresses his reluctance, Lamar nearly chokes him to death with a belt. After coming clean to Monique, Lamar begins to pressure Kato into finding out where Terry and Meech took Zoe. Desperate, he decides to call Meech's bluff and tells him he has no intentions of giving them their stash back and that he can do whatever he wants with Zoe. However, later that night, Slick arrives at with Zoe, revealing that he got the address for the Flenorys, but he also had to give up where they hid the stolen weight. Lamar shows up at Monique's with Zoe. She embraces her and slams the door in Lamar's face, telling him to stay away from her.[5]
After opening fire on Meech in broad daylight with a double barrel shotgun, Lamar attempts to rally 12th Street for an attack, but Tiny stages a coup. Upset, Lamar shows up at Monique's hoping for another chance, but when she refuses to let him in, he grabs her through the bars until she escapes and locks the door. Lamar frantically bangs on the cage and door, only stopping when he notices Zoe watching from the window. Having lost his family, his crew, and his stolen dope, Lamar takes his frustrations out on Slick, singing You can't stop the rain while stabbing him until he bleeds out. Still upset, Lamar decides to go after Meech and Terry at home, attacking their sister and her friend, who he stabs to death.[6]
On the run[]
Armed with a bag full of guns and rope, Lamar exits his house, only to find himself under fire from Tiny and 12th street. He is hit but manages to escape. Wounded after suffering a gunshot wound in the left arm, Lamar breaks into Monique's house through the bathroom window. However, when Monique threatens to call the police and hits his wounded arm, he begins beating her until Zoe intervenes, forcing Lamar to flee. He heads over to B-Mickie's place, where he finds Kato lying in bed. Lamar agrees to spare B-Mickie in exchange for Kato killing Meech. He reminds Kato that she owes him, as he caught a body for her and took the charge. Should she fail, Lamar threatens to kill her.[7]
Shot by Meech[]
Lamar learns from Kato that security will be light on Meech tomorrow when he goes to meet his new plug at the repair shop, though he is slightly suspicious of Kato and warns her against crossing him. He then links up with Alvin, a local coroner, to tend to his gunshot wound. While he manages to stitch Lamar's arm, he doesn't have any pain medication. Before leaving, Lamar asks for the keys to Alvin's hearse. The following night, Lamar sneaks around the repair shop, where he discovers that Kato was indeed trying to set him up and goes back to the bar to confront her. With his gun pressed against her, he leads Kato out the bar, where he is confronted by Meech and B-Mickie. Lamar holds a gun to Kato's head, but that doesn't stop Meech from opening fire and shooting Lamar.[8]
