All in the Family is the seventh episode of the first season of the Starz original crime drama BMF.[1] It aired on November 14, 2021.

Synopsis[]

Blood spills into the streets when Meech devises a plan for revenge, forcing Lamar to seek shelter with someone close, which complicates matters even more.

Plot[]

Meech and Terry arrive at Downriver Memorial Hospital after learning of Darius' death and Nicole's near-abduction. From Nicole, they learn that Darius' killer is Lamar. Meech and Terry try to console her, but she blames them for his death. Nicole then runs out into the hallway, where she is met by Detectives Bryant and Lopez, who have come to take her down to the precinct for questioning.

Charles and Lucille meet with Nicole at the police station and ask her what happened. Nicole reveals that Lamar's attack had something to do with Meech and Terry's business. Nicole asks what she's supposed to tell the police. Charles tells her to tell the truth no matter what, but Lucille worries that people might come after them if Nicole says too much.

Bryant, Lopez, and Commander Beckwith attempt to listen from the other side of the glass, but the speaker is broken, so Mars and Lopez enter the interrogation room to ask Nicole a few questions. Commander Beckwith asks why Darius was stabbed. Nicole claims that she doesn't know his motive, but the Commander suspects that Nicole is lying, as they have a witness claiming that Lamar was trying to get to Nicole and that he stabbed Darius when he attempted to interfere. Lopez suspects this has something to do with Meech and Terry, who kidnapped a rival gang member's daughter. However, Nicole maintains that she knows nothing.

Meech and Terry discuss their next move. They intend to pay for Darius' funeral and retaliate against Lamar, however, Terry is having second thoughts. But when Meech reminds him that Lamar is still on the loose, Terry comes around and agrees that the only way to end this is with Lamar's death.

Meech and Tiny bypass White Boy Rick as they discuss Tiny taking out Lamar in exchange for Meech showing love on their next re-up.

Upon returning home, Charles begins packing their bags, as they're no longer safe at the house, but Lucille refuses to leave her house and even worries about the safety of Meech and Terry. Lucille believes that they can at least save Terry, but Charles isn't interested in risking their own lives any further and takes Nicole with him.

Armed with a bag full of guns and rope, Lamar exits his house, only to find himself under fire from Tiny and 12th street. Lamar is hit but manages to make his way back inside. Tiny and his crew clear the house and discover that Lamar has somehow managed to get away.

Meech arrives at the gambling spot to confront Tiny and his crew after they failed to kill Lamar. Tiny assures Meech that he has nothing to worry about, as they shot him, and he already has his boys checking the vet's and clinics in the hood.

Lamar breaks into Monique's house through the bathroom window, and he is wounded after suffering a gunshot wound in the left arm.

Kato watches from inside the store as cops arrive and place the crew in handcuffs. In order to blend in, she hides her 50 Boyz chain and ditches her fur coat.

Monique returns home with Zoe, who got into a fight with one of her friends. As Zoe puts away the groceries, Monique heads towards the back, where she finds Lamar in the bathroom. He covers her mouth and tells her that all he needs is a day to patch himself up. When Monique threatens to call the police and hits his wounded arm, Lamar begins beating Monique until Zoe intervenes, forcing Lamar to flee.

Lucille apologizes to Karen for Charles' behavior and hopes that she will bring them back on as clients. Terry's life depends on this settlement. Karen explains that even if she agrees, it will be an uphill battle. Although, there was a nurse present during Terry's second surgery, and Karen believes she may know something, but the nurse recently quit and no one knows where she is. Karen has a lead, but makes no promises.

Meech arrives at Monique's to find her beaten and bruised. She still doesn't forgive him for taking Zoe, but at the moment, she's more upset with Lamar, who Monique reveals is probably camping out with his cousin near Forman Park.

Kato reveals to Meech, Terry and B-Mickie that anyone black and under thirty on the corner is being snatched up by police. Meech tells Terry to meet with Big L and tell her that they can't move their weight for the moment. B-Mickie is upset that Meech and Terry went outside the family to settle their issues with Lamar. He wouldn't gladly done it, as Nicole is like a sister to him. When Terry leaves, Meech reveals that he has an address where they might be able to find Lamar, but before they go, Meech tells B-Mickie to end his relationship with Kato.

Terry meets with Big L, who shows him around her gallery. Her father was a struggling artist who worked out of their house. After he died, Big L's brother ran everything until she finished school and joined the family business, turning it into a place of culture. More than anything, Big L likes giving back and money allows her to do just that. She questions why Terry came to see her. He asks for an extension to adjust their re-up schedule, but Big L declines.

Meech and B-Mickie break into Lamar's cousin house with black bandanas tied around their face and armed with pistols equipped with silencers. B-Mickie nearly kills a kid sitting in a chair but Meech fortunately stops him, just barley saving the kid, who he pays off to forget what he saw.

Meech and Terry are in desperate need to figure out their next move given that Big L won't allow them an extension. Terry suggests moving the date up for their crew, as it's the same thing Pat would've done, but Meech doesn't want to be like Pat. They need loyalty, and sending their guys back out on the streets will only hurt them in the long run. Instead, Meech and Terry decide to work the streets with their guys, but in shifts.

Terry attends Darius' funeral along with LaWanda, Charles, Lucille, and Nicole. As they pack the church in, Pastor Swift leads the funeral with a sermon, in which he discusses Darius losing his life at such a young age and how the devil is leading their young black men astray with drugs and gang violence. He expresses how they shouldn't have to worry about being executed by their own.

As the funeral comes to an end, Lucille gives her condolences to Darius' mother, who spoke to the police, and they told her that Nicole isn't telling the truth about what happened to Darius. Mrs. Grills accosts Lucille and Charles for being hypocrites. They sit up in church every Sunday, only for their sons to be in the streets dealing drugs. She then looks to Terry and reveals that he and Meech paid $7,000 for Darius' funeral.

Lopez waits in the car while Bryant goes inside the store to buy some lottery tickets. He then notices the 50 Boyz out and chases after them. While most escape, he manages to tackle Meech to the ground. However, before he can take Meech into custody, Kato sneaks up and bashes Lopez' head in from behind.

Bryant finds his partner unconscious on the ground with blood coming from the back of his head and calls in for medical assistance.

With LaWanda in the bathroom, Nicole volunteers to hold baby Terry but then begins to cry. Terry takes a seat next to her and admits that it is indeed his fault that Darius is dead, apologizing to Nicole, but she doesn't blame Terry and tells him that she loves him.

Lucille confronts LaWanda for lying to her about Terry selling drugs. She accuses LaWanda of doing what was convenient for her, but if Terry continues to sell drugs, he's only going to end up dead or in jail, Lucille explains. Right now, LaWanda is enabling him, and Lucille needs her to stop. LaWanda insists that she's not and breaks down into tears.

Kato shows up at B-Mickie's in tears, explaining that she killed a cop. Kato panics and grabs a bag to flee, but B-Mickie assures her that everything is going to be okay. They then proceed to have sex. Afterward, B-Mickie heads to the gas station to grab more papers.

Lopez is taken to Downriver Memorial Hospital, where he is pronounced dead. Commander Beckwith tells Bryant that he needs to head back to the station for a debrief and informs him that Lopez discovered he has some type of relationship with Meech. The Commader threatens to wash him out to dry should she discovers that Bryant is dirty.

Lamar enters B-Mickie's place, where he finds Kato lying in bed. Kato claims that she's only trying to get closer within the inner circle. Lamar agrees to spare B-Mickie in exchange for Kato killing Meech. He reminds Kato that she owes him, as he caught a body for her and took the charge. Should she fail, Lamar threatens to kill her.

B-Mickie watches from his car as Lamar comes from his house. Unfortunately, he doesn't have his gun, so he's forced to lie low until Lamar passes. B-Mickie then heads inside and grabs his gun, demanding to know the truth from Kato. She reveals that she's been working for Lamar. He and her dad used to run together. After he died, Kato found herself in a jam. Lamar took care of the body and ate the charge. B-Mickie accuses Kato of playing him. In the beginning, it was for Lamar, but she insists that her feelings for B-Mickie and the 50 Boyz are genuine. Kato convinces him to put down the gun and asks for his help in killing Lamar.

LaWanda tells Terry that she wants him to get out of the game, given recent events. He needs to choose between her and Terry jr or Meech. Terry has too much money tied in the streets to bail, but LaWanda isn't concerned with the money and gives him time to make a decision.

Meech meets with Detective Bryant, who reveals that his partner is dead, which Meech claims to have no knowledge of. Bryant suspects that Meech at least knows something and reminds him that he has the power to make Meech disappear. However, Meech insists that his hands are tied.
